Summer 2005
Research Experience
I performed a series of simulations of dust
attenuation in merging galaxies. Part of a study aimed to understand the origin
and evolution of galactic spheroids through a direct comparison of merger
simulations with observations.
August 2006-May 2006
I did my thesis research with Prof.
June 2005-June 2006
I participated in a research collaboration
of a project regarding soil contamination with Prof. Eduardo
Andrade[5]. This
consisted in analysing soil samples by X-ray Ion Beam Analysis techniques in a
single ended 5.5 Mev Van de Graaff Accelerator.
Summer 2003
Teaching & Work Experience
I taught college level Calculus and Physics
following the curriculum (Elaborated by UCSC’s professors) of Merit Academy[6].
Classes are in a one to one form and designed to put advanced High School
students a step ahead in their college level education.
March
2007 – June 2007
I assisted in directing the observations for
the advanced astronomy laboratory of the undergraduate Astrophysics program at
UCSC. The professor in charge was Rachel Dewey[7]
